My piano journey began at age six in a small Pacific Northwest logging community near an active volcano. I was the only person in my family to play piano, aside from my mother who took piano lessons when she was a child. I begged to start piano much earlier, always drawn to the instrument, patiently waiting until I finally met the local teacher's age requirement. Every week, my teacher's piano became a world that was completely my own, directing my path and inspiring me to continue with music. I gave my first recital the following year. By age eight, I was already teaching my very first student—a family member—and sharing this love with others.

Music has always been my compass. It makes the world a much more curious place to live in, giving life a richer existence, purpose, and meaning. Music is its own language, holding a space far beyond the reach of words—there is simply no world without it. At the piano, I always felt completely free to express, create, grow, and dream. It has always been my ticket to a more beautiful life.

I am endlessly grateful to have been guided by the most phenomenal mentors and teachers throughout my lifetime, including celebrated concert artists who have performed and taught globally.

Musical Path

My musical path has opened doors to unique international connections. While traveling in Europe, a celebrated master pedagogue heard me play at the oldest church in Paris, France, leading to an official invitation to perform as a guest for her piano masterclass series at the Conservatoire de Paris. In 2023, I was selected to represent the United States among seven nations at an international masterclass concert series in Rome, Italy, where I was deeply honored to be awarded an official invitation to perform at the conservatory in Sicily.

I was a member of the piano faculty at New York University, Steinhardt, where I also earned my Master of Music in Piano Performance. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Piano from the University of Washington. Most recently, my path led me back to New York City for a private artistic residency and postgraduate professional study, where I pursued an advanced performance intensive and engaged in ongoing training in the Dorothy Taubman technique.

Outside of music, my path has always been diverse, including a past chapter where I spent a few years working in the medical field as an emergency room technician at a hospital, but my focus on the instrument never wavered.

Today, I am based in the Pacific Northwest, anchoring my creative practice in the Seattle region. I continue my advanced studies with my mentor in New York City, traveling seasonally for intensive Taubman training and international masterclasses. This dedication to keyboard wellness merges with a lifetime of experience—pouring directly into a rich artistry, deeply expressive musicianship, and a physical command of the instrument built for artistic longevity.

My work spans solo performance, diverse collaborations, and musical leadership. I have extensive experience working within orchestral, choral, and ensemble contexts. This work includes conducting, as well as coaching vocalists and ensembles.

My background also features twelve years of childhood ballet and jazz dance training, which deeply influenced my physical approach to body mechanics and musical flow. Today, this translates into artistic partnerships with classical and contemporary ballet, alongside unique collaborations in wellness contexts such as yoga. I bring a passionate focus to new music ensembles, extended piano techniques, sound design, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).

Lineage

My artistic voice, technical foundation, and musical pianism have been forged through intensive private study under an extensive network of celebrated concert artists and piano pedagogues. Through these mentors, my musical roots inherit a rich classical tradition connected directly to the lineage of Vladimir Horowitz.
